For the 2015 documentary Racing Extinction, I was tasked with creating the visuals to help explain the timeline of the 5 major extinction events in our planet's history. As we do not know for certain what Earth's landmasses looked like 500 million years ago, a good amount of time for this project was devoted to researching the movements of the continents throughout history, in order to convey the extinction events accurately.
